Ethical Dilemmas (Prime Time)

What scenario were you most surprised with, the bullying or the abusive boyfriend? Why?
-- The scenario I was most surprised with is the abusive boyfriend. The abusive boyfriend took me by shock because many people walked by without intervening. The boyfriend physically abused his girlfriend in front of 58 people, but only 15 stopped. Many people know its wrong for a man to put his hands on a woman, therefore more people should of stopped or at least attempted to help the women, even trying to call the cops could of helped.

Do you believe most people are at the Social Contract stage? Or another stage? Explain.
-- I believe most people are at the Instrument and Relativity stage because people are selfish. They worry about themselves. They also try not to intervene in others situation whether its helpful or not. After all only 15 out of 58 people stopped to help the woman being abusied.

What stage do you believe you are at in Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development.
-- The stage I beleive I am in, in Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development is stage five; The Social Contract.

Quote of the Day

"DO WHAT IS RIGHT, NOT WHAT IS EASY"
                                                                 - Unknown

What does this quote mean to you?
 - The quote above expresses the thought to not take the easy way out of a situation. This means although many are able to cut corners to make things less complicated, the right thing may get you further in life or in any situations. I also think it means that many people know the right thing to do but choose to do the wrong by taking the easy way out.
