Character!

Character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you. People who send money or food to others outside of their country due to starvation and being poor is an example of this description.

Character can also means doing the right thing when no one is watching. An example of this definition of character is walking on a clean street and seeing a candy raper laying on the floor then picking it up and throwing it away.

Customer Service w/ Picture!

The picture above can represent a bad form of customer service. As you can see the customer enters a business. We cannot see what is going on while she's inside, but from the outcome you can tell the customer experienced bad service. She walks out in the form of a money bag; meaning the business lost a good customer with alot of money.

If I was chosen to remodel The Mall at Steamtown

What’s your favorite mall?
Has it suffered during the recent economic crisis, with vacant areas replacing favorite stores? What would you do if you had the chance to “make over” a mall that has more space than tenants?

My favorite mall is the Viewmont Mall. The Viewmont Mall suffered very little. The Mall at Steamtown on the other hand is suffering terribly. If I was to remodel/makeover the Steamtown Mall I would....
* Import a pool for teenagers; kids pool + Jacuzzi
- They can come to the mall to not only shop but swim
* Have more stores for teenagers (their always looking to shop)
-When they come in the store they wont just be able to look and leave they would look and buy
*Have one specific store for the elderly
-They can all shop together in one spot and associate that way their happy. Happy customers spend alot!
*Import a basketball court + have a specific store fro men
-Drag in more male shoppers. They can shop and ball!
*Add a movie theater
-Everyone goes to watch movies, adding a movie theater drags in more customers
*Add a bigger food court w/ Chinese food, Jamaica food, Spanish food, Mexican food, Japanese food
-Drag in every nationality of people

Customer Service

1.      Can you describe the last time you received great service?
2.      Can you tell us about a time you received really bad service?
3.      Was it easier to come up with a good or bad experience? Why?
4.      Do you agree with the policy below?  Why or why not?

Stew Leonard’s Policy
Rule #1:  The Customer is Always Right
Rule #2:           If the Customer is Ever Wrong, Reread Rule #1!
The last time I had great customer service is when I went out to eat at a restaurant. The waitress was polite, respectful, kind and very friendly. When she approached my table she kindly asked if I was ready to order. She was nice enough to honestly describe a meal they were serving since I was interested. Not only was the service great but so was the food.

There are serveral times I've received bad service. I had to be at work at 3, the current time was 3:30. I was very tired so I decided I would take a cab instead of walking. I figured if the cab would take about 15 minutes to get here I would wait for it, but if not I would walk. I called the cab and they said they would be there right away, about10 minutes so I decide to wait for the cab. Ten minutes went by, then 15, then 20. I called back and they said it will be there and hanged up. The taxi services was rude and careless.

A bad experience was easier to come up with because unfortunately there are more times people are treated rudely than kindly.

I agree with Stew Leonard's policy. I agree with his policy because if a customer was treated badly then you might loose them. If all customers are treated badly then you might loose them all. If you say customers are always right then every customer will be happy and would come back. Therefore business will good, customers will be happy, and money will be spent by the happy customers causing the business to be a success.

About me!

My name is Taneka. I am 16 years old  and is currently a senior. My favorite color is pink, and favorite subject is math. After college I would like to pursue my dream of working in the business field. I currently attend a class at CTCLC called Business Administration which informs and prepares me for college and jobs. I chose this program of study because I am interested in going to college to continue in this study. Also, because it relates to the career of my choice. My goal for this year is to work hard and do my best. Also to participate in many activities in my school to make my last year fun. I also have a goal to buy a car before I graduate high school. My future plans are to get my high school diploma and attend Temple University to study Business Administration where I can become a business administrator and work my way towards becoming a business manager.

Back to School

Having this year as my last year attending WSHS is very exciting. I plan on being apart of activities (drama club, debate team, participate in plays, sports), and join clubs, therefore my last year is rememberable. I am excited to graduate and start my life off as an adult. Also I am excited to start college so I am able to have a proper career and become independent. If I attached a photo to this blog that says "back to school", it would be decorated in books, pencils, and erasers. It would also have some type of details to point out its my senior year and have many activities on drawn around to make it look active.
